Don’t miss this! Sunday, the world famous archbishop and Nobel Peace Prize laureate from South Africa, Desmond Tutu will hand over Countdown to Co2penhagen’s petition to UN Executive Secretary of UNFCCC Yvo de Boer.
Desmond Tutu is vocal in his defense of human rights and uses his high profile to campaign for the oppressed. Tutu also campaigns to fight AIDS, tuberculosis, homophobia, poverty and racism. He received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1984, the Albert Schweitzer Prize for Humanitarianism, the Gandhi Peace Prize in 2005[1] and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2009.
Afterwards, Denmark’s most international group Outlandish will be performing.
